I have been drooling over the Color Pop That's Taupe Shadow Palette for a hot minute, but the 24 $ price tag + customs and duty fees kind of made me reconsider placing the order.
A few days later I was at Normal, window shopping, when I saw the Revolution Precious Stone -Diamond Palette had the similar range of shades as the Color Pop palette, not to mention it was on sale! It was meant to be 💗
The packaging is not great, and is on the cheap side but the palette itself, when you open it, has an elegant, sleek fell to it. Features twenty matte and shimmer shades, with a cool tone to them, perfect for fall-winter.
The shadows glide onto the lid with ease, which make them blendable with minimal fallout. Some of the shades are not very pigmented, but they are buildable, meaning you can add more product until you reach the desired intensity.
Palette contains: - Atom – a soft nude matte, Spark – a chocolate brown shimmer, Conductivity – a taupe shimmer, Flare – a taupe matte, Nectarine – a light pink shimmer, Supernova – a silver shimmer, Gravity – a soft brown shimmer, Glimmering – a white shimmer with hints of pink, Quartz – a true gold shimmer, Gild – a berry shimmer, Steel – a metal grey shimmer, Corrosion – a dark grey shimmer, Volt – a true black matte, Ash – a soft seashell shimmer, Coin – a pink-toned nude matte, Electric – a shell shimmer, Ice – a true white shimmer, Platinum – a super light blue matte, Alloy – a lilac-toned shimmer, Charcoal – a soft, dark grey matte.
I love the color range, and the mix of matte and shimmer shades, light one and dark ones, all you need to take your look from day to night in one single palette.
The wear time is pretty impressive for a drug store brand, staying put up to 10 hours, with my usual primer underneath.
