Most of my friends know that I take my morning coffee seriously, very seriously. You may call me a coffee lover ☕, so it is no surprise that when I saw the Nicaraguan Coffee Mask at The Body Shop, I had to have it. And good thing I bought it, because I absolutely love it 💗.
Aside from the widely use off coffee as a liquid boost in the morning, it has other benefits. The scent of fresh coffee is very calming, uplifting and anti-depressant.
Used in skin care, coffee has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, is a rich source of vitamin B3 (niacin). The caffeine acids help to reduce puffiness, boost collagen and promote healthy skin.
The Nicaraguan Coffee Intense Awakening Mask is packed with coffee bean particles from Community Trade Nicaraguan coffee, organic cane sugar from Paraguay, Community Trade sesame oil, Community Trade Shea and cocoa butter from Ghana.
It comes in a coffee brown glass jar with a sturdy plastic lid, you get 75 ml of aromatic, rich and flavored product for 150 Kr from The Body Shop (you can find it in stores or online here).
I love everything about this mask, from the sweet, intoxicating smell of coffee, that still lingers softly on the complexion after you wash the mask off to the jelly like texture with coffee bean particles inside that help exfoliate dead skin cells.
And of course the warming effect it has to the skin, helping to reduce the signs of fatigue, the short time it takes to do the job (only 5-10 minutes), and the fact that can be used 2-3 times a week.
This mask feels very rich, makes my skin look flawless, feel very soft and glowing plus it puts me in a good mood.
