Copenhagen Fashion Week 2019

Hello ladies,

This year I finally got the chance to be a part of the biggest danish fashion show - Copenhagen Fashion Week, taking place between 6-9 August 2019.

I have been wanting to take part in this amazing experience ever since I moved here, and now thanks to this dream came true. The whole day was amazing, well planned and beautifully executed by the talented makeup and hair styling team aka

beautySQUAD - CPHFW. A round of applause for us, we did an awesome job! 👏👏👏

What is Fashion Week?

Copenhagen Fashion Week is Scandinavia’s only fashion week taking place biannually in January/February and August. Each season, Copenhagen Fashion Week welcomes esteemed international press, buyers and influencers to four days of shows, presentations and events as well as the two trade shows CIFF and Revolver.

Sustainability is the core focus area for Copenhagen Fashion Week. Copenhagen Fashion Week strives towards making substantial changes to the way the event is executed, and works to inspire and encourage the industry to take steps towards becoming more sustainable.

The runway show

Sixteen young graduates designers from the Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design had the opportunity this year to hold shows during Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Sixteen fashion forward visions on the directions of future fashion, all pull together by a natural, clean makeup with glossy lids and lips. Perfect to emphasize the natural beauty of the models, without drawing the attention away from the outfits.

My experience

The vibe of the whole event was awesome, I love all the hustle and bustle, that comes with putting on a runway show. The makeup and hair team worked like a dream, getting ready over 30 models in only two hours. The makeup, as I said, it was clean and natural, with a very dewy base, concealer only where needed, slight contour and blush, powder to set everything in place, and off course the key elements - glossy eyelids and lips.

A few of us (me included) had the chance to go back stage for last minute touch-ups, where the excitement was high and nerves tense. But when the catwalk show started, all went smoothly and beautifully.

Congratulations to all the new designers for an amazing show and some interesting visions of fashion. Looking forward to the next Copenhagen Fashion Week!

Kisses, Julia
